Prince Talal is not only a member of the Saudi royal family, but is also a lieutenant colonel in the Royal Saudi Arabian Air Force. His career in intelligence was marked by important roles, including being appointed assistant head of intelligence in 2004 and then deputy head of intelligence at the Saudi intelligence agency, in 2010. Abdulaziz is also known to have worked closely with Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, who at that time served as head that body. His tenure at the intelligence agency ended in October 2012 when Youssef bin Ali Al Idrissi replaced him.
