The racism case that happened to Vinicius Junior has entered a new phase. Not only La Liga, the Spanish RFEF Competition Committee (PSSI), also took steps by imposing sanctions on Valencia.

Bola.net – The case of racism that befell Vinicius Junior has entered a new phase. Not only La Liga, the Spanish RFEF Competition Committee (PSSI), also took steps by imposing sanctions on Valencia.

Vinicius Junior became a victim of racism while defending Real Madrid against Valencia at the Mestalla, Sunday (22/5/2023) evening WIB. The match ended 1-0 in favor of the hosts.

Vinicius had the hardest time with his emotions and confronted the fans in the stands behind the goal. The action of the 22-year-old player was then punished by a red card from the referee on duty.

Valencia Gets Sanctioned
The RFEF Competition Committee launched an anti-racism campaign after the Vinicius case came to public attention. The duel between Real Valladolid and Barcelona on Wednesday (24/5/2023) in the morning WIB, began with the unfurling of anti-racism banners.

Prior to that, the RFEF also sanctioned Valencia for the behavior of their fans.

The RFEF has sanctioned the closure of the Mario Kempes South Stand at the Mestalla for Valencia’s next five home games. This sanction also applies to La Liga matches for the upcoming 2023/2024 season.
